Its what we use personally on our desktop PC's at the office and at home. PC-cillian doesn't slow your PC down like other virus checkers on the market. PC-cillian keeps itself up-to-date by downloading updates from the Trend Micro servers at predetermined intervals of 3, 6 or 9 hours (user configurable). PC-cillian is available from most computer outlets throughout Australia.

We recommend Microsoft Anti Spy Ware.

Microsoft Anti Spy ware is quite new and is still technically a beta product. It is provided FREE by Microsoft Corp. This new package keeps it self up-to-date automatically by periodically downloading updates from the Microsoft web servers.

Anti Spyware software works in a similar way to anti virus software. Microsoft Anti Spyware will protect your PC from browser based hijacks (which can cause your browser to display many advertisements for things you never asked for) and many other 'spy' type software. It is just as important to have this software installed and kept up-to-date as it is to have an up-to-date virus checker.

Once the software is installed you should run a FULL system scan and REMOVE all detected threats.
